Cooperating with God – Dan Carter
Join us as we study and practice prayer together, learning to better cooperate with God in His purposes for us, the church and the world. We will use Richard Foster’s book, Prayer: Finding the Heart’s True Home.
Ruth – Shannon Cornell
Room – 206
"What should a Christian's attitude be towards modern day Israel? Discover the answer in an unexpected place -- the quaint little Old Testament book of Ruth. Events in Ruth foreshadow the Disapora and return of Israel to the Promised Land, the marriage of Christ and his Bride, and the restoration of Israel. You might even be surprised to uncover parallels between Ruth and Revelation! Join us this fall as we examine modern day Israel and the return of Christ through the lens of this profound book."
YOUNG ADULT AND FAMILY MINISTRY:
“Help Me, I Have a Teenager!” – Kim Talley
Room - Parlor
All studies show that in spite of the appearance, the number one influencer of teenagers is the parent or primary care giver as far as giving spiritual direction. This is a 6 week interactive informative, Biblical and practical application based on parenting adolescents in this rapidly changing culture. Books will be available to purchase but not required.
All the Places To Go– Michael Harris, Murray Gossett
Room - Wilkins Parlor
Rarely in the Bible does God command someone to “stay.” Instead, He opens a door and invites us to walk through it – into the unknown. And whether we stay or go will ultimately determine the kind of life we’ll live and the kind of person we’ll become. Come join us for this class of video discussion.
First Pres is committed to help people grow in caring relationships with one another. One of the best places for this to happen is in homes with Bible study and sharing of our lives together (Different times and place). Contact Murray Gossett for more information.
